About the Coalition

A common challenge is our common cause.

The Coalition for Equity in Wholesaling was established to bring firms across the financial service industry together that support diversity, inclusion, and racial equity for the wholesaling career. The Coalition provides access, resources, education, and networking opportunities to increase diverse wholesaling talent.

While the Coalition is comprised of competing firms, we believe that by uniting, we can improve the entire industry by increasing diversity in hiring and advancement.

Some of the largest financial service companies, along with The Association for Diversity in Wholesaling (AWD), joined the Coalition to reinforce one shared goal — to build an inclusive wholesaling workforce that reflects the world we live in.

Our multi-dimensional effort has one goal — to increase equity in wholesaling.

Racial equity is about more than just hiring the right people. To create an equitable workforce, we work at every level to attract, retain and develop diverse talent. The Coalition aims to:

  • Recruit students, primarily through strategic partnerships with colleges and universities.

  • Host career fairs and tailored recruiting events to help recent graduates find good jobs.

  • Conduct research to serve as a benchmark for improving diversity in hiring, retention and advancement.

  • Compile resources to prepare students for licensing exams.

  • Track and improve diverse employee hiring, retention and career advancement within Coalition member firms.
